The population aging is unprecedented in human history that brings numerous socio-economic consequences. In this context, study was with the aim of understanding impact on economic growth Sri Lanka and role current pension system determining growth. applies a accounting framework to evaluate impacts per capita output Lanka, from 1960 - 2019. Structural Equation Model (SEM) dynamic regression error ARIMA model were used meet study’s objectives. findings revealed has significant negative Lanka’s growth, while total factor productivity capital deepening have favorable impact.
